Can someone enlighten me about the Armenian Church? I thought I read (or heard) that they were now in union with Rome. Would that be the Armenian Apostolic Church? Just wondering...

There is an Armenion Catholic Church that is in inter-Communion with Rome (and Kyiv and Antioch and the other Churches of the Catholic Communion).

It's a super cool church. They have deacons who wear byzantine mitras, bishops who were big fancy latin mitres, and VARTAPETS! cool

As far as I know (Wm Der Ghazarian would be our resident expert on all things Armenian) the Apostolic Church (neither jurisdictions) have established formal and ordinary inter-communion with Kyiv, Pittsburgh, Antioch, or Rome etc. - although I have heard that they are on VERY friendly terms - e.g. between the Pope of older Rome and the Catholicos of Etchmiadzin.

Oh der Ghazarian, where art thou?
check out his cool website on the Armenian Catholic Church (the Armenian Apostolic Church in Communion with Rome?)
