I celebrated that several weeks ago. I guess the farther east you get, the longer it takes to get around to things. wink A few weeks back, I finished off my penitential lenten chocolate and started on my Easter chocolate - now nearly gone, of course. I will soon be having Pentecost chocolate, to be followed shortly by post-Pentecost chocolate. BTW, for Alice and Anhelyna, I put away the nativity scene in honor of the old calendar folks - thought you would like to know. biggrin Anyway, Christ is risen - under all calendars and for all time - indeed He is risen.

Please search the thread "Blessed Flowery Sunday"
from 4-14-2003. Orthodox-Catholic gave a good description of the different dates for Pascha.

I have reached the conclusion that no one actually knows the exact date and time Christ rose from the dead, was born, or much else during His time on earth. It's all speculation, and argument about whose speculation is better or more accurate. It would be hilarious if everyone is wrong. I am with St. John Chrysostom that it's more important that we celebrate together. But human pride being what it is, I don't look for that to happen anytime soon. In the meantime, I will enjoy my (choose your liturgical calendar feast) chocolate. :p wink Some things, such as chocolate, transcend dating schemes. biggrin

Then what is the issue of bringing it UP? You say "To all who will be finally celebrating Pascha this Sunday".
The sentence can be interpreted several ways. Not knowing which calender you the poster uses can change how one reads the message.
Just a thought.

However, I will agree.

Christos Voskrese! Voistinnu Voskrese!

Christos Anesti! Alithos Anesti!

Al Massih Kam! Hakkan Kam!

Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

Tonight, I will sing at the Orthodox church with their choir for Pascha. I, being Catholic have already celebrated, will celebrate again with our Orthodox brethren regardless of calendar issues!!!

If it would get all Christians using the same date, I would gladly change from the Gregorian calendar. I don't care on which date we celebrate Christ's resurrection. I suspect He doesn't either.
