I really like Westminster Cathedral but it does not feel complete. They still need to raise the money to - amongst other things - paint the ceilings with religious images. I do know that there was - or is - an ongoing arguement about changing the alter...

To all:

I apologize for, and retract my remarks, which were inappropriate considering the nature of the thread.

To Alice:

You are absolutely right. Gothic architecture is the gem of Latin Christianity.

Dear Diak:

Just a little reminder . . . wink

William has just "crossed-over" to the Orthodox, but his wife and children(?) remain Catholic, for the moment?

Dear Ghazar,

Do the Armenians have prayer beads, like the Rosary or the prayer-rope?

I heard that in the Holy Land the Armenians honour a tree to which it is said Christ was tied during His Passion and that the nuts from this tree are strung onto strings and used as prayer beads.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

Alex
