Watched the Amaizing Race last Thursday on ABC. The program went thought Ethiopia and showed one of the Ethiopian Churches which were carved out of stone. It was very interesting. This Thursday, they are going to start out of Etiheopia , maybe they will show something of interest. I just thought that it was very interesting because, one does not see a lot about the Ethiopian Church

That is cool!

I have never watched that but it sure was nice of them to share a bit of Christianity with the world.
biggrin Bet they didn't realize they were doing that.

It was very cool! Now I want to see the interior of the Ethiopian church.

If anyone knows a web site please post.

Theodore and Pani Rose,

Guess what came to my mailbox today?
The new issue of "One" (Catholic Near East Welfare Association magazine) which contains articles about the Ethiopian and Eritrean churches.

The new issue has not yet been posted to CNEWA's web site.

yes, one of the girls asked to borrow a sweatshirt so she could cover up before entering the church. Another contestant, a male, kissed the shoulder of a priest.(I think, as the sign of peace).

According to Ethiopian tradition, they keep the Ark of the Covenant in one of their churches.

How nice to see a show of modesty on TV and respect for a holy place.
