Is there any justification for this? http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2005/105/22.0.html Can we agree that there is none. Is it possible to get face to face with these folks in order to share the Gospel of forgiveness with them? Didn't the Pope already do this in the 1980s? How can we do it more consistently and protect our families while we do it? Dan L

In Islam, Jesus is called Al-Masih 'Isa [the Messiah Jesus]. He is a Messenger of Allah, miraculously born of the Virgin Mary. He spoke in the cradle, defended the message of previous prophetsNoah, Abraham, Moses, etc., preached the oneness of God, predicted the coming of a prophet called Ahmed [i.e., Muhammad], he denied the Trinity and being Son of God. Says who????

Well, since Mahomet wrote the Koran, it is hardly surprising that the Koran announced the arrival of Mahomet!

It is interesting that the Muslims say that Jesus and Mary were the only sinless ones. So why then do they follow Mohammad if he sinned?

Death Threats from Muslims by Steve Kellmeyer "Dear Sir: I read your article about Islam. It contains a lot of things that are not true? I have a question for you: is it ingorance or malice that prompted you to write these things? If ignorance, I believe you should write another article, apologizing for making these canards. If malice, I ask God Almighty to strike you with a malignant cancer within 3-6 months. If you don't apologize within five days, I will pray daily and nightly for this punishment to befall you. Khalid Amayreh, Jerusalem This lovely e-mail was the response I received to an article... . See: http://www.renewamerica.us/columns/kellmeyer/050201 for remainder of column.

To be fair--perhaps there are many different interpretations and ways to practice Islam?
There certainly are in Christianity...
Please understand that I am neither an apologist for Islam, nor am I particularly a fan of Islam , (although I do admire their piety in public places) but one could certainly take many Christian practices out of context and apply them to all of Christianity too.
The response about putting a curse on you was ridiculously evil and bullyish.
In Christ, our true Lord and Saviour, Alice

I wonder how many Christian suicide bombers there are and how many apologists for their actions there would be without public outrage on the part of Christians?
There are certainly many varieties of Christians but Christians aren't brutalizing Muslims in places like Sudan and Egypt. It's the other way around.
There are hopeful signs within Islam itself that many do recognize that they have a problem on their hands but so far their tribe has not carried the day.

Dear Dan,
I agree with you on your points--however, I was responding to a few points made by Steve (?) on the link he gave us, which were about faith traditions and practices--not the points he made about acts of brutality.
All the best, Alice

More Christians might be publicly pious if our government went around shooting them when they were not...

Khalid Amayreh, Jerusalem
After reading this drivel, I am prompted to respond to Khalid. I have been doing prepatory reading for a Phd (one day) in the Western occult tradition (the Grail as the focus). I remember reading that Wiccans taught the Law of Three; whatever you wish one others will be sent back to you threefold. Since you are under the protection of our Lord Jesus Christ, you need not fear the Kurse of Khalid. however, I can't help but wonder if cancer will be at his door. I say God forbid anyone getting cancer, there are none of us who have sen what cancer can do to our familis, or even ourselves, that includes Khalid. prayers? Khalid needs your prayers. Much Love, Jonn
