There is a show on EWTN right now (8:30 p.m., EDT, USA; Saturday 8 April 2006) about the Ukrainian Catholic Church. It's a re-run, but it's good.

The program mentioned something about an (alleged) appearance of the Mother of God at some place called "Hrushiw" in the Ukraine. Can anyone recommend some reputable information on this (alleged) Marian apparition? Thank you.

"Alleged" is the word for it. There are some quite real Marian shrines in Western Ukraine for those who wish to attend them. Pochaiv is particularly lovely.
