This is a great link that you have provided. I do wish to provide a disclaimer for everyone here though.

Modifying your registry entries may be hazardous to your Operating System's health!

Here are two links that I feel will be beneficial regarding making a backup of your registry and how to restore it in the event your operating system goes belly up:
