One of our Godson's mother is Egyptan, she came to this country 18 years ago. She once told us, she would rather live in this country in poverty where she could raise he children their Christian faith, she is Coptic, the children are Melkite, than to stay in Egypt and have everything she wanted and hide her faith.
Her father was Coptic, her mother was Muslim. He taught her to pray secretly from her mother. Her mom never knew her dad was a Christian.

My mom would always use the expression, "You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar" as a putdown or correction. I found it to be used very hypocritically at times, like saying "Do I hear the pot calling the kettle black." so I avoid it like the plague.
