Glory to Jesus Christ!

Evangelizers,

I am happy to announce that the CEO of Relevant Radio met with all of the Eastern Catholic Hierarchs at their annual meeting in St. Louis,
MO. in March. Relevant Radio is the largest and fastest growing Catholic network in the country. It is one of the principal networks that carries "Light of the East Radio." The hopeful outcome of this meeting is that a master plan can be worked out between the radio network and the Eastern Catholic Churches to get major Eastern programming throughout the USA. Let us pray and encourage our Hierarchs to step through the door that has been opened for the "Eastern lung" of the Church. We have a chance to really get our message out there.

Father,

"All of the Eastern Catholic hierarchs?" Melkites? Ukrainians? Marionites? Romanian? All of them? That is wonderful.

Katie,

Thank you for a very informative "Light of the East". You may well have a career in broadcasting.

Hope Relevant Radio is broadcast up here in Anchorage, Alaska. KHAR--590am, would be good as EWTN, Holy Rosary, and other religions now broadcast on this station. BJ of Anchorage

I am thrilled to hear this news it's amazing that more than one eastern catholic church could be on the radio, now is it possible to have an orthodox host as well on the same network? or is that being TOO ecumenical? perhaps at least a co host.

Christ is Risen!

Cristoir McAvoy,

Great idea! In fact one of the many good things that is REALLY behind this overture from Relevant Radio Catholic Network to the Eastern Catholic Churches is to provide a platform for some real ecumenisim to happen such as hearing from the Orthodox. Personally my dream would be to have a program with a Latin Rite, Eastern Catholic and Orthodox host on together. This would be an unprecedented venue for real ecumencial dialogue and understanding. Please, pray that this venture unfolds between the radio network and the Eastern Catholic bishops. If you are not in an area where the network can be heard you can listen online at www.relevantradio.com [relevantradio.com]
I am heard live every Thursday morning between 7 and 8. My "Light of the East Radio" program can be heard on Sundays at Noon or online: www.byzantinecatholic.com [byzantinecatholic.com] Please also encourage the CEO, Dick Lyles, to continue to pursue this potentially very, very powerful venture. Please also encourage our bishops to pursue this. At first it may seem intimidating to our bishops in terms of coming up with good Eastern Catholic programming. But we should encourage our bishops. All we need is a few people (and since I have some in mind.) We could begin incrementally and then hopefully Eastern programming will expand.

I believe that with this radio possibility, the Eastern Churches have an answer to alot of our evangelcal needs. Since I have been involved with this network it has opened a host of other evangelical doors for the Eastern Churches. I have to admit it has been absolutely amazing. So, please, let's write to our bishops and pray that this opporunity materializes.
