I have to admit I'm very, very nervous about this trip. I'll be posting another thread in the Prayer Forum at the date approaches.

Will anyone be taping this? If so, please PM me. I won't be able to see much of this and would very much like to do so.

Thanks!

Markos,

Did you see that GoArch will be posting it online? That might be problematic for people with dial-up, but I wanted to make sure you realized it will be archived and available by tomorrow evening.

It will also be broadcast live on the GoArch website, starting at 12 noon eastern time.

The following is a link to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese press release concerning the live broadcasts. Dial-up will be an issue in the later part of the morning, but may be alright for the early morning hours that it will be broadcast.

It is 5:45AM here, I just watched the Mass. It was lovely. I thought it was so very simple(I don't mean in a bad way) compared to the normal Papal Mass. The number of people small, but yet the blessings were so huge, and the joy to be able to gather for such an event there. Totally Cool!

I just viewed the Papal Mass from Ephesus this morning. They (EWTN)were 30 minutes off on their schedule, which was not welcome by me. If they say they are going to broadcast at 4:30AM, do so not starting it at 5AM. I am sure they could have given some better background until things started. No notation was announced about the delay. A couple of technical issues I noted. Even at a 300kps stream on Real Player on DSL from the EWTN link over, there were still some issues with the picture freezing at points. Also clarity was an issue as far as the picture.

I have not been able to get the live link from the Patriarchate's site as of yet. I may make a call to our IT Dept a little later to see if they can send out another release with the actual link.

EWTN's coverage is not being done with their own crews, but rather from Vatican TV. They are providing the voice over commentary, but it does not appear to be as bad as in the past. I do wish they can get a better special commentator that Monsignor. His pronunciation of Eastern terms is horrid and almost unrecognizable.

yes - I also watched it . On the whole well done - I was watching from the Computer but tomorrow should manage it on the big TV.

I saw the last part of today's Mass on the TV - it was much better there. Security was very tight
