I'm guessing the logo could be a bit sharper in its resolution but the new forum is up-to-date: functional and readable. Thanks for the upgrade.

Is change! Must be revisionist, sergianist, heresy not in keeping with the Fathers. Does not reflect the 1941 Sears book. Is outrage! wink laugh However, I do like it. It looks nice.

Slava Isusu Khrestu

Hello
I am a real Neanderthal smile when it comes to computers for I have just moved one step from cave drawings.

But, I have a problem.:(

When I log in I am checking the box that says remember me every time I enter.

When I return, sometimes it will recognize me and let me in. But in the same day, at times, it will not and I have to log in every time. Am I doing something wrong?

Help an older Neanderthal smile if there is help?

Unworthy

Ah, but has not John "Il Papa della Tribuna Byzantine" spoken Ex Cathedra concerning the need for change? What are you, a recidivist? biggrin

As of right now and for the next few hours the main forum page will have a blue theme (with horizontal lines and white type) for evaluation purposes. The accents are red (lines) and two shades of beige (for background).

Comments, please!!! [In this thread]

For the next few days or weeks we will be experimenting with the style and the graphics. Please note that things will change. Once the main page falls into place we will up date the rest (individual forums and topics).

Father Anthony is the designer of the new logo. It is still "in process".

OK - my comments so far

Are the blue bands on the headers such as' Today's Scripture' meant to have fine black lines on them - or are they supposed to be solid blue ?

I like the fine cranberry line round things - but at present it looks a wee bit cold and stark - I don't really see the 2 shades of beige

1. Yes. The "Title Bars" use a graphic that is mostly blue but has faint white lines. They are used to keep the blue from becoming overpowering.

2. On the home page look at the "Threads" and "Posts" columns. The "Threads" is beige-like and the "Posts" is more of a gray-ish beige. [Or look at the background behind the Scripture text and the navigation bar just above it.]

The issue is that we must choose from "web safe colors" since every monitor displays them differently. One uses graphics to get better colors but tries to keep the use of graphics to a minimum.

Pleas limit comments only to the home page. The thread and post styles are not updated yet, except where they rely on the home page style sheet.

A greeting & enlarged logo at the top...as for colors, I'm partial towards the brown and burgundy found in a monastery...

OK - now remember I'm working on a laptop :p

If I tilt my screen back so it's about 45 degrees from the horizontal I can now see the difference on the home page and it's more obvious if I darken my screen from where it normally is .

Can you darken the colours slightly please as long as it doesn't interfere with folk with desktops ?
