Amado, We're not looking to use several different shades. The feedback we want is which shade of blue looks best on your monitor.
Angela has voted for the original shade (in Today's Scripture).
Others?

To those of us who are young enough to remember Kruschev, the blues can come across as being a bit dark. I found the tan of the other night easier to read.

I think that he is referring to a diminishing of visual acuity.

I didn't see the tan [ as long as it's not Black and Tans please ] You could take the teal up a shade probably but not too much A

[font:Century Gothic] I am seeing four different blues on the page! The one on top is like a 'denim' blue, the blues on the side are like a 'sky' (or Greek flag *wink*) blue, the blues separating the posts are like a 'teal' blue, and the bottom line on the page, where it says 'contact us' is a crisp 'royal' blue, and is like the blue we used to have, and the blue I have used here--- and it is also my personal favourite. (I also think that it is the easiest on 'forty-something' eyes!!!)

Thanks for the feedback. The top bar (with the welcome) is now a different shade.
I suspect we will go back to the color in the "Today's Scripture" bar but feedback is necessary since the colors show differently on every monitor.
Please continue to comment. We will probably leave the different shades up for at least tonight to allow more posters to comment. Once we have the final color choice I will update the entire Forum so that the color is uniform. Thanks again for your input.
PS: The "tan" of the other night didn't work - some posters saw it as almost an orange. It was not a "websafe" color!

Scripture original and main header appear to be the same shade of blue. Left column and footer are as advertised. I am using IE 6 on Windows XP. It is quite readable and my older eyes are having no problems with it. Of course, I am reading through eyes of the true faith, which may make a difference.

Main Header (bar with "Welcome") is this color.
"Today's Scripture" is this color.
They are very, very close. But one looks crisper on some monitors.

Today's Scripture does look sharper, but the colors are indistinguishable from each other.

Great! Just like it is! The contrast is good and easy to read.

OK, I set everything to the same color. It does not appear to show up as teal-ish on Macs. Comments on this color are welcome.

The near black was easier to read, at least to my tired eyes. I think alot has to do with the monitors used. For example, I'm using a 30" Dell LCD, so my colors might appear different than someone using a smaller CRT.

What appeared as black on your lcd also looked black on my lcd. It was actually a dark blue and looked like a dark blue (almost like the blue in the U.S. flag) on crts.
How is the current blue? It should not shout at you but should be overall fairly pleasing.
