[font:Comic Sans MS]Dear Ray,

The Turks deserve to have everyone going around with that bumper sticker. Especially after the way they mistreated the American visitors during the Pope's visit. biggrin grin laugh grin biggrin

Considering my own feelings towards Islam, the more I think about this request the more I think that maybe allowing Muslims to simply pray in a cathedral might not be a bad idea as long as they did it silently and not in the form of a public display like at the airports. I despise the Muslim faith but have been impressed by the prayers of Muslims which I only observed as detainees. And of course there must be "reciprocity" on the part of Mulsims regarding Haghia Sofia.

Just think, Great and Holy Lent will be here before we realize it. Then you can fast on chocolate for the protection of our cathedrals biggrin

"militant Islam's "

There is no Islam, but Militant Islam. Their whole ideology and religion is based on the so called prophet's saying "Paradise is under the shades of swords" There are good people that happen to be Muslim, but real Islam is Militant.

Hey Gordo,

I don't know where you live, but I tend to think that most people wouldn't even know where Constantinople is. confused Then again, I think only the Turks would get offended...it's a national thing with them. grin

Hee, hee, hee! biggrin At least you're making people aware that there is a Constantinople, or at least there was...and now it's gone! frown
