Unfortunately, prejudice and ignorance exist world wide. I was denied entrance to the Four Seasons Restaurant in NYC whilst in pedraznik. Which is OK, because I had 2 wonderful hotdogs from a street vendor outside, who wouldn't charge me because he was a recent immigrant from the Ukraine!

It did not meet their definition of jacket and tie! Actually, as I said, God smile on me over that as I met a very nice strret vendor, right off the boat from Poltava, who gave me 2 wonderful hotdogs and a wonderful conversation about the need to work hard, but never forgetting about God and where one comes from!

In our Carpatho-Rusyn setting, the term used for the cassock is "podriasnik", which literally means "under the riassa", which is where the cassock is worn. I'm pretty sure that the terminology in the UGCC is a little different.
