The KGB was behind the smear campain against Pope Pius XII. This shouldn't surprise any Catholic or Orthodox. I see this as another example of secularists seeking to destroy the truth. It's the old battle between darkness and light. http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=8490

Thanks for posting this article. I know that thousands of Jews were being protected in the Vatican, at the risk of it's status under the Nazi occupation, and that orders were given in Rome to monasteries and hospitals to hide Jews whenever they could...again at the risk of the lives of the religious habitating there. I am shocked that the Jews would accept those lies so readily, especially when so many grateful Jews confirmed the sacrifices made by the RCC...after all, it's not an easy thing to risk one's own life and the life of those one loves for total strangers.
The Bolsheviks also smeared the Czar and his family. There were stories that the lockets that the princesses wore held pictures of Rasputin, when in reality, it was pictures of a then recent saint. I'm glad that a book has come out by the English tutor of that noble and saintly family, confirming their sanctity and especially the sanctity of Czar Nicholas and the sacrifices he made for his country.
I think when it comes to anything regarding a Christian Church, (as with individuals), we should always take a positive rather than a negative view. Had we done so in the past, Christ's Church today would not be divided.
But then again, any form of negation is not from God...Who in Himself is pure Creation.

The article doesn't finger the Jews. It fingers the Communists.

There have been many Jews that have accepted the lies of the KGB. I believe books have been written confirming these lies. I recall some Jewish group wanting the Vatican to release all the documents they had on WWII. As far as I know, the Vatican gave them quite a few, until finally they became fed up and refused to give any more. 
This of course, is the way I recall events these past few years. If someone knows differently, then they can correct me. I make mistakes you know.
