I believe that Ray posted the same article from Catholic World News, which I think can hardly be described as a KGB front! (unless the Jesuits have taken it over! ) (JOKE!!!!, for those of you who are easily offended!)
Alexandr Yes, there is an article on CWN: http://www.cwnews.com/news/viewstory.cfm?recnum=48975But note that that article is also based on Interfax. I am just suggesting that I woulfd like to see a Greek source.

Despite the proposal made by the Inter-Orthodox Preparatory Commission in 1993, the Church of Constantinople has since established the following sees: Toronto 1996, Buenos Aires 1996, Gong Kong 1996, Panama 1996, Spain and Portugal 2003, Korea 2004, recalls the official website of the Moscow Patriarchate.
Alexandr Is Gong-Kong anywhere near Hong-Kong?!? LOL! Alice

Actually the Ukrainians are very up-to-date and use the spelling Siang-Gang.

I've noticed BBC Ukrainian referring to Peking, not Beijing. So now we have to order Beijing duck?

Instead of Peking duck, the next time you are at a good Chinese restaurant, ask for wind blown duck. Exquisite!

OK, Fr. Serge:
I qualified my Orthodox canonical norm statement forbidding extraterritoriality by later stating there are ... "practicalities". And yes, they can be very convoluted. (LOL)
However, where the canonical norm is observed (and that is among by far the vast numbers of Orthodox faithful in the undisputed Orthodox Churches), it generally works quite well. To see Greek, Montenegrin, Macedonian and Vlach (Romanian) parishes all united with their far more numerous Orthodox Albanian ones under one canonical Church was truly a blessing that I had not experienced being an American (with ethnic-jurisdictionalism as my personal point of reference). Quite simply, the canonical norm was wonderful!

That would indeed be nice. But I prefer not to move to Albania.

Belgrade is nice, with the Russian Church right behind St. Mark's (and of course, both under Patriarch Pavle). Moscow has all kinds of Orthodox Churches, (in some places) one almost on every corner. And it has passed Tokyo for the distinction of being the most expensive city in the world, too. Bring lots of Euros or Dollars for Rubles conversion. You'll need them, but you sure will have fun. (LOL)
