Fr. George Chaanine of Our Lady of Las Vegas has been arrested just yesterday. A warrant was issued Friday when he fled after beating of one of his parishioners, a Vegas singer named Michaelina Bellamy.
Fr. Chaanine was once the parish priest of St. Sharbel's Maronite Church, as well in various parishes throughout the US.

According to another report the priest mentioned something about being involved in the Lebanese War and getting ordained as a way out of Lebanon.
