I am not certain that this goes here, but anyway...

"What's happening nowadays in the Muslim world has never happened before," said Father Zakaria Henein, an Egyptian Coptic priest who is one of the foremost evangelists to the Muslim world. He says a cross-section of Muslims are accepting Jesus Christ. "Young and old, educated and not educated, males and females, even those who are fanatic."

We have a new convert from Islam at our Orthodox Christian Church.

She cannot return to her homeland or she will be killed.

Another time and place ....
Several years ago, a non-Christian real estate loan officer came to see me. She knew that I was an Orthodox Christian and urgently asked me if I had an Icon of Christ. I pulled one out of my praybook. She looked at it and cried, "He looked exactly like this." She begged me to let her have the paper print of the icon, I willingly agreed and she glowed.

She told me how she had had nightmares and could not really sleep well after the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. The insomnia and nightmares were hurting her job performance and wrecking her marriage. Finally, she prayed and asked God to help her believe in Him. One night, she fell asleep and heard someone knocking on her door. She answered the door and saw a man dressed in brilliant white robes standing at her doorstep. That man resembled Christ in the Icon she now held before her. Since that dream, her nightmares have disappeared.

Another lady, who was also Muslim convert to Orthodox Christianity serves as a catechist in the Greek Orthodox Church. She is under constant danger because her family here in America will kill her if they discover her conversion to Christianity.

Sometimes I feel ashamed how casually I have taken my faith, how much doubt I have entertained, how my life was lived so loosely, when I consider that these Muslim sisters and brothers accept Christ a great personal risk.

Praise God!

Allah is no longer an unknowable monad for them, but a Holy Trinity of Persons that reside in their hearts!

"May the children of Hagar be converted to the Holy Faith!"

Wanna know something ironic? I'm friends with a girl whose last name is Hagar (of Hagar slacks and khakis fame), and she is Latin Catholic, but her family is Melkite and Maronite!

Let me tell you, I am in a Church full of wonderful faith radiating Sitis and Gitis(grandparents) from the Middle East. When these women say Praise Allah, believe me, I would never question that they are doing anything but giving praise to the "ONE TRUE GOD"! They have such an awesome faith in Christ, I learn so much just observing them and being in their presence.

One day while we were preparing the dates for the cookies, mamool(sp) that is, for the food festival, oh my the prayers of thanksgiving I heard offered to God for this wonderful fruit and the blessing of the gifts of the food. This is all the time when they are preparing food, they sing hymns of praise to God, and sometimes they even dance biggrin. I am so blessed to be able to learn at their feet.

For them, no matter what the world says Allah is, to them it is Jesus Christ, our Father Almighty, his Holy Spirit - the Triune God.

You are welcome.

Does anyone else have conversion stories about Muslims converting to Christianity?
