he really didn't care about religion at all. He said that it was only after he happened to view an interaction (while visiting Greece) of a certain monk named Aemelianos with some lay people, that he started to think about the Church. He said that the love and kindness in which the hieromonk treated the people was so great that he wanted to be part of that of that. Something to think about!

Dear Alice,

A little more about the monk Aemelianos. One or two decades ago, there was an American girl that happened to be in a horrific accident and covered with debris. Before the accident she had converted to Orthodoxy, and while laying there and praying, someone appeared and helped her appear miraculously on top of the heap. She assumed it was an angel, but one day, after becoming a nun, she saw a picture of him. It was the monk Amelianos, who just happened to be the Elder of her spiritual father.

Aemelianos is obviously a saint, and was able to project himself so that he could be in two different places at the same time. I know that Padre Pio also had this gift.

God Bless,

Zenovia
