Last night my wife Mary was in severe pain. I took her to the hospital, where we were in the ER all night. She has a large (about 4inches) cyst on or around her left ovary. She will have to have surgery. Also, this is a terrible time for us for her to miss work. Our financial situation is precarious and she earns far more than I do. Please pray for us.

Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray. Mary has surgery on Friday (4 May) at 12:30pm. Her physician is hoping to be able to do a laparoscopic procedure, in which case the recovery time will be shorter. Again, please continue to pray.

The surgery went well. The doctor was able to remove the cyst (which was about the size of a softball and was filled with about 10 ounces of fluid) without removing the ovary or the fallopian tube. Also, the initial test indicates that the cyst was benign. However, she is in a great deal of pain. Thank you for your prayers.
