The link was on spiritdaily.com I have read it before and find it interesting. If you think about the Hagi Sophia, when they over ran it, they destroyed so many icons, but it is my understanding that those of the Theotokos, the Mother of our God, they covered over. http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/apologia/vpost?id=1915641

Pani Rose, Thank you for this reference. It is beautiful, especially the last line: As those who lose devotion to [Mary] lose belief in the Divinity of Christ, so those who intensify devotion to her gradually acquire that belief. May Our Lady of Fatima calm their souls. Michael

Dear Pani Rose,
Thank you for that article. I find articles by Catholic saints, and surely Bishop Sheen is a saint, very prophetic. Especially when concerning the Muslims. It was written at a time when it was inconceivable that the Muslims should ever become a power again. How could they become a power, when it was impossible for them to ever have the military might to fight the West? Little did we know what was to occur.
We see today, the means used by them. Terrorism and suicide bombings. Through these means, they manage to have people leave their territories for safer horizons. In time they become the majority, and this way they can continue to conquer lands. We in the Christian world help them, by having a low birth rate.
Unfortunately, Fatima to the Muslims, does not mean a conversion of heart to Christinity and our Lord's redemption of humanity, but rather an assurance to them that the Iberian peninsula belongs to them. Hopefully, our Lady will enlighten them otherwise.
To convert from being a Muslim, is almost impossible. That is unless someone leaves their area and goes to a place where they are unknown. If they don't do so, they will be killed. There is a biography that will, (hopefully) be coming out soon, about the new martyr Saint Demetrios of Greece. He became a Muslim under the Turks, and then repented of it. He was determined to sacrifice his life by returning to the place where he became a Muslim, and revealing to them that he was a Christian once more...a sure death. He was beheaded.
I recall a converted Muslim say that we must not say that Jesus was God's son. In their comprehension, it means we are worshipping more than one God. Instead it must be explained that Jesus is the 'Word' of God become flesh. I found that interesting, and no doubt more productive. Of course, the most productive thing is prayers. We should pray for them...through our Christian love.
God Bless,
Zenovia
