Her early release because of "overcrowding" in the L.A. jails has a precedent. So, the Sheriff's Office has to accede.
Of course, the act does not forebode well for the principle of "equal protection/treatment under the laws!"
Let them minorities rot in jail like sardines!

My gosh! Two days ago I read about torture on one of the posts, and how the worst was solitary confinement. So now we have a young rediculous, (and outstandingly beautiful) girl, no doubt being manipulated by the greedy Hollywood bigwigs for the money they're making off of her, being sent into solitary confinement for twenty three days. Well I guess why not? Suicide bombers have had it so hard in their life, so why shouldn't they be allowed to kill one or two, three or four, five or six, if it will make their day. But Paris,  now that's a different story. She's had it well all her life, and certainly deserves that solitary cell...the nerve of her, posing all over the place with that long blond hair and her skinny legs. For shame! Lock her up!  Why is it I somehow feel, when watching the media's reports on Paris, that I'm in the coliseum with cheering crowds, and thumbs down. Does anyone else feel that way?  Okay! Okay! Let's look at it another way. She didn't have to drive anyway, so let's give her credit for doing so and not being chauffered around.   God Bless, Zenovia

Then I log on here to find this! rcguest, My family and I killed our tele about two years ago, for precisely the reason you mentioned. Advertising alone turned us off, as did the constant fawning over celebrities. If we want to watch something, it is usually available somewhere on the net, or by renting a DVD and watching it on our computer. ORRRRrrrr....we just read a book or play games! God bless, Gordo PS: Zenovia, you and I will have to disagree about how precisely stunning the young heiress is!  But I do agree with your overall point. Hers is a public personality completely propped up by the media machine (the same with the late Anna Nichole). It really is a form of mutual exploitation, since she seems to feed on attention (not really needing $$$) and the media feeds on her (trying to make $$$). It is an example of the cancer of consumerism and the capitalist dream, where people become products!
