folks,
I read in the Times FreePress that Bishop Joseph Kurtz of the Knoxville Diocese is going to Louisville to be the new Archbishop of that province that includes Knoxville. I say many years and God bless to his grace.
however, this is my concern: Bishop Kurtz has permitted the Byzantine Catholic Church to operate in his See, he is not only a gracious man, but is from the same state as His Eminence the Metropolitan, and enjoys friendly realtions with the same. what happens to the only official EC presence in eastern Tennessee after Bishop Kurtz leaves? prayers are needed.
Much Love,
Jonn

Let's all pray that the new Bishop of Knoxville is a wonderful, grace-filled individual who will be a true pastor and friend to both eastern and western Catholics.

And by the Lord's grace the Eastern presence will grow under the new bishop. God grant to Bishop Kurtz many blessed years and much happiness in his new assignment.
