I vote other. It is time for a third party candidate.....I am tired of the same old, same old status quo along with all of the quid pro quo of the Congress. I think we need someone who will stand up to Congress, WIN the war and bring our troops home, enforce the millions of laws on the books instead of creating more, send home the illegal aliens (remember what our ancestors had to go through?), and balance the budget by repealing the 16th Amendment and create a flat tax.
I have been third party since I registered to vote, and knowing that my candidate would never be elected for that reason, I would have to go with Rudy Guiliani. New York could not have had a better mayor during the horrible events of September 11, 2001 which many have already forgotten.

What candidate from these promotes the pro-life cause, the normality, the family values, a good system of health and education, and have the eyes on Christ? Marian+ -------- www.sacredromania.com [ sacredromania.com]

None of them.
Some lie about it better than others.

It is a shame to know that both of my Senators (Casey and Specter) voted for the Immigration Bill...
What happened to the days of our ancestors where they had to speak the language, take a citizenship test and wait 5 years to do so?
I have a cousin from Slovakia here trying to do it legally, why can't the other 20 some million do it legally as well?

What candidate from these promotes the pro-life cause, the normality, the family values, a good system of health and education, and have the eyes on Christ? In fairness, some of the candidates (perhaps most of them?) really try to champion a good program based on high ideals and faith. However, all of them, in my opinion, compromise in order to win. The trick is to find the candidate who compromises their principles the least and who is still effective. -- John

First thing I learned in Political Science class is this, "The main focus of any politican is to be re-elected."
I know a local State Senator, and he told me that he votes on how he feels, not on how his constituency tells him...
Sad thoughts, aren't they?

Dear Rusyn31,
My father was an illegal. He jumped ship in Florida, and then telephoned his brothers in Wisconsin. He was not able to come here legally because a law came into effect banning Southern and Eastern Europeans from entering.
Within a few years, and with a twelve hour work week all his life, he opened a few restaurants with two partners. He automatically became an American when marrying my mother. She had American citizenship automatically from her father because she was born within the three years that a certain law was in effect. It stated that anyone with a parent that was an American citizen, was automatically a citizen. She was lucky. She was able to come right into N.Y. without going to Ellis island. She came first class, at the age of 16.
As for speaking the language, both my parents did. My father was very well educated and even knew Latin, and my mother attended school here. I did have relatives though, that came at an older age, lived among themselves, and never mastered English. They were hard working, and highly religious and ethical. I find that the most important. Everything else is of no importance.
As for the immigration bill, what do those that did not vote for it plan on doing? These people are here, and they are not paying taxes. Believe me they are not going anywhere because we need the workers. Thank heaven we're not living in the days when half the workers would scatter when someone hollered: Immigration!
I also wonder what we are going to do about the border? At least if the bill was passed, we would know who is in the country and who is not. Also, if the Democrats come in, there will be an automatic amnesty...and it will be the end of the Republican party.
God Bless,
Zenovia

Interesting. As of this morning (6:50 a.m. EDT), Obama and "other" are tied at 41%, with Giuliani and Romney being the (distant) third and fourth place.
