Please keep the priests and people of Holy Family in your prayers.

Sometime between last Sunday after DL , and Monday morning the ceiling in the Cathedral collapsed.

Exactly how bad / extensive the damage is I don't as yet know - Father's comment to us this morning was "All is broke - everything is broke'.

I understand that services will be held in the Upper Hall till repairs/restoration are complete.

You have given us grace at this time to offer You a common prayer together and have promised that when two or three are gathered together in Your name, that You will grant their requests; fulfill, Lord, the prayers of Your servants, which are for their welfare, grant us the knowledge of Your truth in this world and life everlasting in the world to come. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on us.

Do you have contact information or a website for the parish? Perhaps we can get the word out about this so that we can all work together to help them out.

If you happen to have a website or address, maybe we can post it on some different places on the net for the benifit of donations or assistence from local volunteers in their rebuilding/restoration efforts. Who knows - there might be some retired carpenters near enough to them who would be happy to help them out.

that's them - but they are now called the Ukrainian Cathedral of the Holy Family.

I understand that investigations are ongoing - hoeprfull there will be news soon .

To my knowledge there is no Website and no e-mail address - though I'm willing to be proved wrong - remember I am in Glasgow about 400 miles away

Prayers continue

Prayers are certainly needed - this looks as if it will be a long slow repair .

Help from the Jesuits [news.bbc.co.uk]

I have been in Farm Street Church too - and frankly how the Ukrainians are going to fit in I cannot imagine . This is really a quart fitting into a quarter pint pot.

with apologies for being slightly off topic
