I can't find the church sequence, but here is the end of the Hutsul Wedding of Ivan and Marichka fom "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" (Tini zabutykh predkiv). A typical Carpathian
wedding, you can even hear the wedding party sing what sounds like the music to the "Moleben to Jesus Lover of Mankind" (Oj Isuse...)!

Sergei Parajanov's "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" has not been released on DVD.

But you might be able to track down a used VHS copy at Amazon [amazon.com] or eBay.

I believe that "faino" originates in German, or perhaps in Yiddish.

Russian has "Faina" (pronounced in three syllables) as a woman's first name.

The coronation service is in Hapgood - I just discovered to my delight, but alas it's for the Russian Emperor, not the Byzantine.

I must go track down the Byzantine coronation service and compare it with the Russian sometime (or even the Bulgarian and Serbian too)....
