Since today is 1 September on the Julian Calendar, and therefore the beginning of the ecclesiastical year, God grant salvation in heaven and all spiritual prosperity here on earth to the participants in the Forum!

NPR was reporting on Ethiopia celebrating a new year. I suspected that they meant the Julian calendar, but they didn't mention it by name.
