I already asked about an Eastern Catholic Majority, but in the United States is there a State, Eparchy, Province, County, or City in which the Orthodox are the majority over Catholics or Protestants?

I have an answer to this one but it could be outdated.

Let's wait for our Orthodox brothers and sisters to take a stab at it! biggrin

This link has an interactive map where you can click on it and see all the parishes in the area.

It looks like eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania have the most parishes, but do they for the majority of believers?

I suspect there are some areas of Alaska - which is 5% orthodox where they constitute a majority of the villages or a county or some such.

Ok, New York has the highest number of Orthodox Christians in the Union and Alaska has the highest number of Orthodox Christians per 1000 people. But I still couldn't find whether or not there might be a County, City, or Township in which the Orthodox are the majority.

If you discount the "unclaimed" category, then the Orthodox are the overwhelming majority in Aleutians West County in Alaska. But the Unclaimed outnumber the Orthodox 10:1. Same for Bristol Bay County, Lake and Peninsula County.

The sad part for Greek Catholics is that many of these parishes in eastern Ohio and western PA are former Greek Catholic parishes. An examination of their cornerstones will verify this.

Today, buildings and property can't be converted, yet the Greek Catholic church is still finding ways to drive its people to Orthodoxy. confused

Unfortunately, based on my experiences, I see the majority continuing to get driven away but go RC, Protestant, or nowhere not Orthodox...

Please clarify what you mean by Greek Catholic. There are very few Greek Catholics. Catholics of the Greek rite counterpart to the Greek Orthodox. Perhaps you mean Byzantine.

Greek Catholic is the historic name for Eastern Rites churches in Eastern Europe and is still used in Europe, for example, Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Ony in the USA is the term "Byzantine" use and furthermore, it is relatively a new term historically.
Even the Orthodox, until recently used the word Greek in their legal names, for example, Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church, Russian Greek Orthodox Church.
