 This travesty is not for the faint of heart. Thank you, Alexandr, for posting this. There can never be any justification for this sort of thing. It's scandalous, it's blasphemous, it's desecration of the Lord's Most Holy Body and Precious Blood. After seeing this, one must ask whether His Holiness was duped by now Cardinal Levad. His Eminence was supposed to be a very conservative cleric and was thus chosen for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. That his successor would be so opposite makes one wonder what is going on in high places. In direct opposition to the archbishop's statement that he does not want the priest sex scandal made out to be a homosexual problem, here's a link to the Catholic League's site. The evidence is unmistakable: 81 percent of the victims of priestly sexual abuse were male, the majority of whom were postpubescent. Since 100 percent of the victimizers were male, this scandal mostly involved homosexuality, not pedophilia. Yet the cultural elites refuse to deal with reality, and have indeed waged an unprecedented cover-up. Lord, how long will you wait? BOB

I almost posted this article this morning, but I didn't know if that would be ok. It was the first thing I saw this morning as I get news updates in my inbox. I ended up in tears, and it has affected me pretty deeply. It's just so shocking.

I just happened to run across it reading blogs and apparently it will be featured on O'Reilly. I believe the East and the Orthodox are the ones who talk about the power of the bishop more often than not.
In this case, I believe that something needs to be done, not just in this archdiocese but in the whole of southern California.

This bishop has been in the filth so long, he's become accustomed to it. He doesn't notice the garb? Perhaps it's time to resign for health reasons, like vision impairment. He doesn't notice a homosexual molester living on his floor, of whom he is the spiritual director? Time to go. Unaxios, Unaxios, Unaxios!

Is anyone buying that explanation? I will only believe it if the myriad of other 'regular' occurrences in this diocese (mainly in the Castro district) are corrected.
