When is Abuna Elias Chacour going to win? When is Emmanuel Charles McCarthy going to win? When is Daniel Berrigan or John Dear going to win? It'll be a hearty one if these listed Catholic clergy wins. Sayidna Joseph Raya should have won the last time. Pardon my language but these are the countless few men who have balls of steel.

-- John Not necessarily. I am old enough to have respected Al Gore's father for his honesty and integrity. I didn't always agree with him, but I knew where he stood. Young Al, on the other hand, tends to waffle a bit depending on his audience. Perhaps that's why he didn't carry his own state when he ran for the presidency. Maybe we Tennesseans just know him a little too well.

Can't say I have much use for Republicans either. The best thing that could happen is for Russia to annex the US and Canada, and these problems would be moot!

Al Gore winning the Nobel prize, how ridiculous!! Let's remember that Hitler (1935) and Stalin (1945) were nominated for prizes, and others like Jasar Arafat (1991) were actually awarded it. Gore's philosophy is that we have to restrict our useage, but that does not apply to himself, his family, and his liberal friends and party members. I only vote for PRO-LIFE canidates. As a Christian EVERYONE is obligated to do the same! Sam Brownback is getting my vote. And if you decide to vote for the politician who claims to be "pro-life", you might get someone who will go to war at the drop of a hat and ignore the Church's teaching concerning just war. You might get someone who ignores the Church's teaching that is preferable not to use the death penalty when the state has the ability to lock up securely a murderer for the rest of his life. You might get someone who ignores the Church's teaching concerning the preferential option for the poor, the rights of workers to bargain collectively, the duty of the state to ensure that workers are treated fairly, the duty of the state to secure the common good, the fact that access to health care, education, and a job that pays a wage that allows you to live with dignity are all RIGHTS to which all people are entitled. If you vote for someone who claims to be "pro-life", you might get someone who ignores the Church's teaching on all of these things (and when that is the case-as it often is-I simply don't believe them when they say they are "pro-life").

Al Gore spreads false science. His film, "An Inconvenient Truth" is chalk full of lies. If we are causing the polar ice caps to melt then who is causing the polar ice caps on Mars to melt? Don't worry about the white ice melting on *Green*land. Now that the ice has receded, scientists are discovering evidence of farms! Ever hear about sun spot activity? Its been real active lately. What about the little ice age a few centuries ago? When sun spot activity was very low back in the 70s, everyone was yelling "global cooling!"
Other nobel peace prize winners have been Yaser Arafat, anti-Semite Jimmy Carter, and Kofi Anan. What does this say about those awarded the prize?
Weather patterns change, but there will always be those who are willing to follow pied pipers. None call it 'the emperor's new clothes.'
