Would that be in McKees or Cleveland (both Rock! grin ), or somewhere else?

I used to sing in the choir in the church where "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" was filmed, but IMO, it's not that great a movie.

It's Cleveland. St. Theodosius cathedral. Beautiful church.

Some excellent movies to look for,

in response to Edward Yong's request for Slavic fare,
Zelary (Czech)
With Fire & Sword (Polish)

focused on culture,
Rabbit Proof Fence (Australian)
Whale Rider (New Zealand), a good movie for the family!

on redemption,
Central Station (Brazilian)
Widow of St Pierre (French)

Ooooohhh.... let me play too!

I don't think anyone has mentioned some of my favorite movies ...

Like Water for Chocolate
Babette's Feast
Wings of Desire
Until the End of the World
The Double Life of Veronique
Tampopo
Eight Men Out
Brother from Another Planet
Working Girl
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
The Snapper
Brother Sun, Sister Moon
Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet
Brannagh's Much Ado About Nothing
The Commitments
Rear Window

And yes, I love love LOVE the original Star Wars trilogy; I feel like I could run a marathon after watching Chariots of Fire; I stop to watch The Shawshank Redemption every time I see it when channel surfing; and I never get tired of either West Side Story or Fiddler on the Roof.

I loved the Branagh version of Henry V. My favorite part is at the end of the Battle of Agincourt, when the bodies are being cleared from the field to the sounds of Non Nobis Domine. Even in the horrors of war, Latin makes things seem beautiful.

An even better Shakespearean movie is Roman Polanski's MacBeth.

Henry V reads much better after having read several histories of the Hundred Years' War. The first read I had of it left me overwhelmed.

I love the Hundred Years War too, in a historical research sense, and Henry V could be pretty cold. The St Crispin's Day speech is fantastic though, as is the "Once more unto the breach" speech Act 3 Scene 1.

Dr. Eric...if you love movies about con men, track down "House of Games" from 1987, starring Joe Mantegna and written by David Mamet. You will really enjoy it!

in no particular order:
the maltese falcon
rear window
the exorcist
rocky horror picture show
the day the earth stood still
enchanted april
four weddings and a funeral
nicholas and alexandra
night of the iguana
the breakfast club
the birds
the queen (helen merrin was great!)
nosferatu (an old silent film based on dracula)
the wizard of oz
a man for all seasons
the nun's story

i've always wanted to make a movie about old calendarists and call it the "ROCOR-Horror Picture Show"

if Richard Burton's flick had been about an Orthodox priest they could have called it "Night of the Igumen"

Considering it's hockey season, I can't believe I forgot to include on my original list the greatest hockey movie (there are so many) ever made: "Slap Shot," filmed mainly in the Hollywood of the East Coast--Johnstown, Pa., also the location for "All the Right Moves" (football movie with very young Tom Cruise for all you youngsters out there).
