Dear Friends,

My wife and kids are leaving for the weekend to go back "home" to Southern Illinois. It is a four-hour drive along I-70 and there are many big trucks. Please pray that they make it there and back safely.

Thank you,

Dr. Eric

Dear Dr. Eric,

My humble prayers to the Lord our God to send the Archangel Michael to protect Amber and your children from all harm, danger, and evil as they take their long car drive. I pray that their guardian angels will be ever vigilant, and that they will arrive safely.

I hope that you have a religious item in the car, and make sure that Amber makes the sign of the cross, invoking herself to God's care for her safety at the onset of the trip....

With love in Christ,
Alice

My heart sank too, even though I do not know you (regardless, you are my brother in Christ and that is enough warrent my concern for you and your family's well being). Having lived through a divorce as a child all I can say is that it's a HORRIBLE expirience.

Prayers for your family and their safe return home.

Dude, I'll say a prayer for them . . . but the title of the thread implied something *much* worse.

Sorry about the sensational title. blush wink

I chose it so that everyone would read it.

In my defense though, Amber typed it up. We spent a little while on the Forum together. She typed for me.

Thanks be to God that they arrived safely and the 4 children were good for her and didn't fight or scream too much.

Thank God!

... I hope that you are not angry that I took my moderator's editing liberty to change 'leaving' to 'traveling', in order to please, and also to calm, our fellow posters from their shock at the original title! smile ---Alice

Here's what we know so far.

1. Amber and the kids left.

2. They safely arrived where they were going.

3. You now have ample opportunity to cast off worldly
distractions and go on a pilgrimage!

I will cast aside all earthly cares when I attend Divine Liturgy tomorrow.

Please join me in prayer that they safely arrive back here in Indy.
