Hello. I just wanted to introduce myself. I have a feeling I will have a lot of questions and it always seems more polite to make an introduction before jumping in. My name is Marcella. My husband and I and our 5 children recently left the Orthodox Church, the OCA in particular, and have entered the Catholic Church in the Ruthenian Rite.

This has been a long journey for us. I looked into Catholicism before converting to Orthodoxy at 19. My husband joined the Orthodox Church with his family at the age of 14. His father is an Antiochian priest. It has been 4 years now of prayer and study and more than a little agonizing over the decision for us as a family to convert. But we have made the leap and are very happy for it.

I look forward to getting to know everyone. I have much to learn, particularly in regards to the difference between the Eastern and Latin rites.

No, Marcella, but I've been there once. I'm actually Roman Catholic, not Byzantine. I private messaged you to explain more!
