I know this is heresy, but a friend in Pittsburgh turned me on to fried pirohy with tobasco sauce.

Against my better judgement, I tried it... and against my better sense, I have to admit here, I liked it!

I know, I know "Tobasco sauces on pirohy?!?! Is outrage!"

It isn't the pyrohy! It was the Greek food she ate when she drove over to the Greek eatery and didn't tell anyone she went smile

I think Mrs. T's makes them with chedder and jalapeno. So I don't know if Tabasco sauce really is heretical. Think of it as blending cultures or something. You can say you participated in cultural diversity.

Mrs T's!

All I did was admit to frying up pirohy and dousing it in Tobasco sauce after a night of hard drinking...

I would NEVER admit to having anything to do with Mrs T - she can keep em!

You do realize, that if she IS allergic to pyrohy, she can no longer be Orthodox, and will have to become a Presbyterian or something of that ilk! Pass the white bread, lettuce and mayo please!

Tobasco on pyrohy????? Is more than OUTRAGE!! Is heresy!! You couldn't have been THAT drunk!! You are hereby sentenced to eat an entire loaf of Wonder Bread and a box of Hostess twinkies. If you are still alive in the morning, we'll forgive you!

I am almost certain that no pyrohy allergy threatens the pravoslania-ness of my mini-me. We are genetically engineered to not be allergic to pyrohy. I don't know how she could be, pyrohy are a staple food here. They were Mrs. T's pierogies though...
And no, there wasn't any Tabasco sauce invovled. She does have German blood in her....? If she is allergic to pyrohy this will be a tradegy of epic proportions.

Mark the date!

Etnick and I are in total, full, unequivocal and utter agreement. No qualifications of clarifications needed.

Pot stickers are supposed to contain pork and are more doughy. Whereas, gyoza are usually filled with chicken and are more crispy.

At least here in America, your experience is obviously different living in Asia.

I've heard that the Muslims of Western China also eat pot stickers... filled with beef!
