Slava Isusu Khrystu!

I am wondering if there might possibly be icon holy cards or medals available of Saint Elizabeth the New Martyr which may have touched her relics. I am wondering if these could be obtained. I am sure that there certain disciplines attached to obtaining relics of her but perhaps I could obtain a holy card or medal that touched a relic of her.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you,

The holy relics of St Elizabeth (and her cell-attendant the Nun-Martyr Barbara) are enshrined in the St Mary Magdalene Church of Gethsemane Convent in Jerusalem. This is a woman's Monastery of the Russian Ecclesiatical Mission in the Holy Land belonging to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. You might write to Abbess Elisabeth (enclosing a donation) and make your request. Abbess Elisabeth is Australian and is a native English-speaker. The address for the Convent is:

ST. MARY MAGDALENE CONVENT
P.O. Box 19238
Jerusalem 91191, ISRAEL
Tel: 972 (2) 628-43-71; fax: 972 (2) 628-63-81

Abbess Elisabeth blessed our parish, dedicated to St Elizabeth the New-Martyr, with small portions of the relics of St Elizabeth and the Nun-Martyr Barbara three years ago when I made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. I am eternally grateful to her for this kindness.

What always touched me greatly when reading the account of St. Elizabeth's martyrdom (a brilliant account is in 'An Englishman in the Court of the Tsar')--was how they sang the troparion 'Save Oh God thy People, and bless thine inheritance....' while suffering to their death in the mineshaft.

May all the holy royal martyrs pray unto God for us, and for their beloved homeland which they died for!

In Christ,
Alice
