Just now, I turned down the job offer.
Both company owners kindly spoke to me on a conference call and answered my pointed questions. The answers were such that I thanked them heartily, wished them a Merry Christmas and every success in future!
There were lots of people with less experience but with big titles and I would have been reporting to all of them.
Just too old for that and there is lots of other opportunities out there - one cannot be too lazy to look for them.
The Administrator once told me that Slavs have a habit of wanting to deny themselves good fortune and success.
He was right.
At the same time, to take an opportunity for success for the wrong reasons is not a good thing and underscores the idea of "take it, it's better than you deserve!"
No, I deserve better, after all!
