So a pro-abortionist is okay because of a specious belief of the 2000 election?

I saw in the National Enquirer one time that Martians landed on earth, maybe one of them would qualify as President with that logic crazy

This is a valid point, and it is one that I have struggled with as well. In my own personal opinion, I have to vote for a leader who will do the best job overall in running the country. And in my own personal opinion, abortion is a major issue but it is not the only major issue.

Here in the U.S., we have a very controversial war. And, we have an economy that appears to be heading to recession. And, we have issues such as immigration and the environment and education for which we have no consistent policy. And, we have a culture which is increasingly polarized along ideological and religious lines. And, we have a health care system that provides a very high quality of care . . . but which is often unaffordable. crazy Et cetera.

All of these things are issues of life. In other words, being pro-life isn't just being anti-abortion. Abortion is wicked, and I don't approve of it. But there are a bunch of other issues out there which shape and effect the lives of millions of people --before and after the third trimester. And so I try to pick a leader who can address most of them better than the other candidates.

My two cents.
