Christ as "Sacrament" of the Father is a familiar theme in contemporary Latin Catholic theology. (For ex: Edward Schillebeeckx's "Christ the Sacrament of the Encounter with God.") I agree though that it is a stretch of the word "sacrament".

I agree. And that is why I and some of others left the Catholic Church to join the Orthodox Church. I'm not trying to petulant. I'm agreeing with your statement. I think, by and large, that people should belong to the church (or the religion) that they actually believe in.
