I haven't been following the Republicans, I'll make a prediction for the Democrats.

1. Obama
2. Edwards
3. Clinton

------

The macro-scale problems with politics comes down to our individual propensity for sin. If human nature were perfectible, it would be reasonable to believe that a world politic could be as well.

I left politics and took up an interest in western theology and history. I find that field to be far more realistic. Several of the modern schools-of-thought in political philosophy tend to be incompatible with human nature.

I would respect a noble king. Perhaps our time can be better understood from a study in the collapse of the the English feudal system and how it led to the mercantile period. The economic infrastructure of our country now, as it was with England then, is becoming more dependent on national/global interests than local interests.

I think they fear Ron Paul may be more popular than the establishment wants. Why else would they wish to exclude him at every opportunity, stifle his message, misrepresent him, and falsify polls? After the last two stolen elections can we expect an accurate count in Iowa? No criticism of OUR DEAR LEADER GEORGE BUSH or THE GLORIOUS REPUBLICAN PARTY implied, of course.

It's so painfully noticeable that the media is deliberately ignoring Ron Paul, but I strongly suspect that if he makes a breakthrough in Iowa you'll see the beginning of the attack ads.

On a positive note, here's some quotes from Ron Paul on Abortion

The right of an innocent, unborn child to life is at the heart of the American ideals of liberty. My professional and legislative record demonstrates my strong commitment to this pro-life principle.

In 40 years of medical practice, I never once considered performing an abortion, nor did I ever find abortion necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman.

In Congress, I have authored legislation that seeks to define life as beginning at conception, HR 1094.

I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn.

I have also authored HR 1095, which prevents federal funds to be used for so-called population control.

Many talk about being pro-life. I have taken direct action to restore protection for the unborn.

As an OB/GYN doctor, Ive delivered over 4,000 babies. That experience has made me an unshakable foe of abortion. Many of you may have read my book, Challenge To Liberty, which champions the idea that there cannot be liberty in a society unless the rights of all innocents are protected. Much can be understood about the civility of a society in observing its regard for the dignity of human life.

NBC has pulled all episodes of Law & Order featuring Fred Thompson from reruns so they don't have to provide equal time for all candidates.

I wonder if Ronald Reagan's movies were out of the rotation when he was running?

Seriously, they did that? It sounds too much like a joke.

I know! I thought it was a joke at first. Turns out that some volunteer or intern for the campaign would have to watch Law & Order and calculate the number of minutes in which Fred Thompson was on the air during that episode, then, within 7 days of the episode airing, the campaign must request equal time. Which the network would then have to provide.

I did look up Reagan and apparently both his movies and Arnold Schwarzenegger's were on the "must not show" list while they were campaigning.

Probably just as well not to show the episodes with so many people running...I can imagine campaigns turning in different numbers of minutes and some poor intern at the network as well as one at the FCC having to also watch the episode.

Well, my predictions were off. I was hoping for a Ron Paul 3rd place finish, but he wasn't that far off.

Guiliani participated? I wasn't aware he was on the ticket. (Like I said, I haven't been following the Republicans.)

He was on the ticket, but didn't campaign.

Guiliani was in every debate trying to cash in on any left over 911 angst. It certainly looked like the man was campaigning.

He did not work the field, I don't believe he had a campaign office and staff networking and organizing their supporters to get to the cacus.

You probably heard this rumor started at CNN.
