The Faternity of St Peter is in Atlanta. I am sure they do not care about RCIA. They are not subject to it as Tridentine Priests in union with the Pope. Also I am sure a decent Byzantine priest would be helpful.I just want this man to get what he needs. I have a dear friend who has been helped by courage and I really love what they do. God bless.
Actually if Joe is baptized, he is not subject to RCIA either, as per directives given according to the National Statutes for the Catechumenate confirmed by the Holy See in 1988...
Given the serious nature of his complicated health, seeking a priest willing to forego a drawn out RCIA process and bring him in to full communion sooner rather than later would be a good thing especially so that he may be able to recieve the sacrament of the sick before surgery as well as being consoled with spiritual healing in regular Communion and confession as needed.
Given his regular attendence of Courage meetings (a move I greatly admire), it sounds like he is likely already very much on board with affirming the truth of our Catholic faith.
It is something to consider suggesting. I will pray for him.
