Many Years!

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

Theophan, Many Years!

But you seem to have been born a day early. Had you been born today, it would have been a real Theophany! smile

Thank you one and all for the warm greetings and prayers. You have given me a touchstone with sanity over the past five plus years.

Father David:

Being one day early, however, means that my birthday comes on the day of commemoration of two of my favorite saints: Sts. Athanasius and Cyril of Alexandria, two giants of Orthodoxy. I hope to follow their example in my life, prayer rule, and pilgrimage to the Kingdom.

In Christ,

BOB

Robert, my dear friend and brother,

Happy birthday and may God grant you many more years in health and happiness, serving his people, honoring us with your friendship, and inspiring us with your thoughtful prayers and words
