I have just returned from the hospital where he has been admitted this evening.
The preliminary diagnosis is Leukemia - all the blood tests indicate this.
He will be seen by the consultant tomorrow morning and further investigations started to confirm the diagnosis, and type of leukemia and plan treatment.
This has been a bombshell tonight
Please would you keep him in your prayers.

Heavenly Father, physician of our souls and bodies, Who have sent Your only-begotten Son and our Lord Jesus Christ to heal every sickness and infirmity, visit and heal also Your servant Raymond from all physical and spiritual ailments through the grace of Your Christ. Grant him patience in this sickness, strength of body and spirit, and recovery of health. Lord, You have taught us through Your word to pray for each other that we may be healed. I pray, heal Your servant Raymond and grant to him the gift of complete health. For You are the source of healing and to You I give glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Update
I am bringing Raymond home this afternoon for about 3 hours and then taking him to the Haematology Unit in another Hospital after that.
He has had a blood transfusion overnight , which should help a bit.
The Investigations, probably starting with bone marrow biopsy, start tomorrow.
