Sadly, Israel is also the only democracy in the Middle East.
Sheesh. What a world!

Most people's idea of a democracy includes the idea of one person one vote. Not in Israel. Israel is no democracy.

If you define a democracy as "one person one vote", then America is not a democracy either. She is a democratic republic.

I agree Israel is a terrorist state. We blindly support them in part because of our Protestant Fundamentalist culture, which believes God commands us not to turn our backs on Israel. Does this mean turning our backs when they abuse these non-Jewish children of God in such a manner? After all they went through as a people in the Holocaust they have learned nothing from it other than it won't happen to 'them' again. their treatment of those they don't believe to be 'chosen' is atrocious.

War is never kind and objectives at times are unrealizable, but to claim that Israel is a terrorist state simplifies the historical and present context of the conflict in the Near East.
There is support among a segment of American voters who support Israel solely or primarily for eschatological reasons, but that motivation is not as significant for those who conduct or make foreign policy.

Terry Perhaps not, but those who make foreign policy sure do exploit that segment when it suits them...

That is pathetic - reminds one of the KKK during the Civil Rights protests. How sad that those who do that call themselves Jews!
