What is the difference between the Nazis and these sick people?! Millions of little angels will be killed. Come, Lord Jesus Christ, come and purify this world! Planned Parenthood Building Mega-Facilities in Houston, Denver and Massachusetts
78,000 square feet, 50,000 square feet and 30,000 square feet respectively
By Hilary White
HOUSTON, Texas, February 22, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Last year, citizens of Aurora, Illinois, protested and complained to their local authorities at the arrival of what was then, at 22,000 square feet, the largest Planned Parenthood abortion facility in the country. But the organization that boasts of being the largest abortion organization in the world, has exceeded its record with the opening of a giant 78,000 square-foot baby-killing facility in Houston, Texas.
The new abortion facility, say local pro-life groups, is three times the size of the Illinois building, will have three operating rooms and be equipped to commit late term abortions. It is scheduled to open in the fall and will coincide with the opening of the school year.
Christine Melchor with Houston Coalition for Life said, "This building was purchased with the intention of incorporating the surgical ambulatory center so they are able to do more abortions." The building is situated across the street from the University of Houston.
"We know that they like to be situated close to the college campuses and the high schools. It makes it much more convenient for women to come into their facilities," Melchor said. She estimates that Planned Parenthood's new facility will double the number of children it kills from its current 6000 a year.
In November 2007, Planned Parenthood announced it was building a 50,000 square foot facility as its new headquarters in Denver, Colorado.
Archbishop Charles Chaput, Bishop Michael Sheridan of Colorado Springs and Bishop Arthur Tafoya of Pueblo expressed the outrage of pro-life people in the state saying, "Planned Parenthood calls itself pro-child, pro-woman, and pro-family. Yet it is an organization based on falsehoods about the human person, the family and community life."
Planned Parenthood purchased the Denver property under the name "Fuller 38 LLC". They admitted to the Denver Post that the subterfuge was deliberate as a means of sidestepping protests and delays. Pro-life people in Aurora delayed the opening of the mega-facility in their town, exposing the organization's methods in obtaining planning permission from local authorities.
At the same time, the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts has announced it is giving up its two-story abortion facility in Worcester, Massachusetts for a three-story, 33,000 square foot building in the same town.
Planned Parenthood, including its various affiliates, is the largest abortion organization in the world. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) receives almost a third of its money in government grants and contracts that amounted to $305.3 million in 2006. In 2005, US Planned Parenthood killed 264,943 children by surgical and "medical" or chemical abortions, more than any other abortion organization in the US. http://pro.lifewithchrist.org/permalink/39821.html

"The building is situated across the street from the University of Houston."
This is interesting and sickly ironic.
Planned Parenthood will even have rooms available for visiting doctors to stay, like a hotel or apartment. They had trouble finding contractors, local pro-life groups were threatening to blacklist anyone who participated in constructing the building. I believe they imported their construction crew, but I haven't heard an update on that point since a year ago.

What is the difference between the Nazis and these sick people?! None whatsoever. The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a proponent of Eugenics, or racial cleansing. She saw contraception and abortion as a means of "purifying" America's racial and ethnic makeup. She saw Southern European and other European immigrants from primarily Catholic countries as inferior. She wanted to rid America's racial/ethnic makeup of "imbeciles". Some of the writings of American eugenicists was actually used by the Nazis in Germany. This is the unspoken agenda of the abortion crowd in the U.S. Dn. Robert

On a positive note, the other day I heard on Relevant (Catholic) Radio, that despite the fact that Portugal recently legalized abortion, over 80 pct of the nation's doctors are refusing to perform them, and many hospitals have turned away women seeking abortions because their is no one available to perform them.

On a positive note, there is also a trend in the U.S. where clinics are closing down, and it has become a "stigma" in the medical community for doctors to perform abortions. I have read that they can't recruit any M.D.'s to do abortions on U.S. military bases. So, there is hope. Dn. Robert

I attended a banquet hosted by Houston Coalition for Life last Thursday. They started a 40-days-of-prayer campaign two years ago. Last year there were groups in about 50 cities which followed suit, this next year they anticipate 80 cities to be covered.
They have been a thorn in the side of Planned Parenthood for some time. The first 40-days, the abortion rate at the Planned Parenthood at Fannin dropped. I don't remember exactly how much, but it was enough to get Planned Parenthood's attention. Last year, as there was a national prayer drive, Planned Parenthood used the protesting as a means to leverage funding from donors. At Fannin they had red ribbons representing a certain amount of donors, or a certain amount of funds donated. Besides the 40-days, Houston Coalition for Life tries to have prayers and sidewalk councilors at the Fannin site daily. They have had a prayer campaign for several years before the 40-day.
Though it takes more than two years to plan and build such a facility as the ~78,000 square foot abortion superstructure, it would not surprise me if they had Houston's pro-life movement and our Crisis Pregnancy centers in mind when choosing the location. This build will ultimately dampen the effect sidewalk councilors can have on abortive women, as they will have a drive port and parking beyond our influences.
Part of the reason is for locating near the University of Houston is that its central to the Greater-Houston area. Another factor could be that the land cost would be reduced, as there is not very much development around the campus. Especially the South/Southeast side, I haven't driven around the campus to know what side of the campus they built on. I would like to see how much Planned Parenthood paid for the land; there is a chance it was donated and it would be nice to track that down. If it was donated, that's quite a shame.
There is a pro-abort/pro-life battle going on, those on our side are hoping that the investment will end up haunting Planned Parenthood. To be profitable, their abortion rate needs to increase rather dramatically. They were close to 170,000 abortions last year at Fannin, if I remember the status report at the banquet accurately. We are praying that the new building will be under utilitized.
