Memory eternal to God's beloved servant, Metropolitan Laurus

Funeral Arrangements: His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus will be buried at Jordanville on Friday, 21 March (new style) and the funeral services will be held in the monastery cathedral.

There will also be Requiem services at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Sign (New York) and, one assumes, at cathedrals, monasteries, and parishes aroudn the world. Patriarch Aleis II of Moscow has already sent his condolences; no doubt other Orthodox leaders and Christian leaders will do the same.

For the immediate moment, the Locum-Tenens of the vacant throne is Archbishop Hilarion of Sydney and Australia.

"For the weeping and the grieving, and for all those looking for the consolation of Christ, let us pray to the Lord.!

Memory eternal to a great and holy man of God.

May he hear the words we all long to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Master."

May his memory be eternal!

I offer my condolences to the ROCOR members and to the other Orthodox posters here.
