Last night, Sunday, March 23, 2008, Archpriest Eugene Vansuch unexpectedly fell asleep in the Lord at his home of a heart attack at age 67.

From June 1, 2005 to December 31, 2007, Fr. Eugene served as the Executive Director of the Fellowship of Orthodox Stewards. He was currently the rector of St. Vladimir Orthodox Church in Trenton, NJ.

I remember Father Eugene as my Church History instructor at Saint Tikhon's Seminary some 20+ years ago. He was a very gentle and pastoral priest.

May his memory be eternal!

In IC XC,
Father Anthony+

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

Memory eternal to God's servant, the Archpriest Eugene
