by Julius Norwich isn't the same one as to the one you are talking about?

It is not the same book I was talking about, though I don't have a copy of Treasures of Mount Athos . I believe that it is referred to here, though I may be corrected: http://www.jstor.org/pss/3049607

I�m not sure how many volumes are in the set.
