It's amazing that he is 96 and still an active parish priest. His ministry is longer than many people have lived!

I was privileged to worship at SS Cyril & Methodius Church on Pascha, and Msgr. Hrynuck was the celebrant of the Divine Liturgy. The church was filled, the Liturgy was prayerful, the homily was good, the singing was wonderful. The people there have a very strong identity as Greek Catholic and are proud of it. Maybe that is why the church contained plenty of families with little children.

May the Lord God grant to His servant, the priest Stephen, many years! Mnohaja i blahaja l'ita!

Could someone be so kind as to record this program (on DVD or video) for me? I'll be in Athens and won't be able to watch it. Thanks in advance.

Saw the show tonight. Monsignors story about how he became a priest was quite humorous. I'm still amazed that he's 96 and still going strong! The Ukrainian Catholic parish in Olyphant is blessed to have had him all these years. Mnohaja Lita!

What an absolutely delightful man! I think he is one of the living saints...I was very aware of the fact that he spoke nothing but edifying words.

Truly an amazing man. If we had more priests like him, the world would be a changed place.

I caught the show. They were cute together - don't know if that is a way to describe it - but they made me chuckle, so very preciuous to our Lord. Truly both of those men are awesome gifts of God to a hurting world. Thank you Jesus!

They really are precious gifts to the Church and to the priesthood. I felt I was watching two great examples of the old, dependable rock solid priests that have really been mainstays of the best Traditions of the Church. The humility and spiritually of Msgr. came across so strongly you could almost feel it. I was really edified watching that show.

OH my yes! Especially when he said he approached Fr. Groschel and asked him what he needed to do. Can you imagine the look of Fr. Groschel's face then. This 95 yr old priest asking him how to become a better priest. I mean that is humilty. Too, it was amazing when he spoke of hearing a priest a few weeks ago, that since then he has gone before the Eucharist every nite for prayer, and he was so thankful to that priest. Such a wonderful example.

When my Grandmother was in her 70s, she told me that she still learned something every day.

Msgr. Stephen seems to agree.

Many years, Father Stephen!

To Father Serge and others who missed the show with Monsignor Hrynuck, please go to http://origin.ewtn.com/audiovideo/index.asp and click on "Sunday Night Live". I think that the show will be there until this Sunday, but not sure, so watch it soon.
What a delight!

Alas, I'm leaving for Athens tomorrow and will not have access to EWTN. So my request that some kind person would do me the great favor of recording that program is still in effect.
