How was Price Philips mother an Othodox nun? Was she Anglican and then converted? Is the prince still GO or did he have to become Anglican to have a shot at the throne?
This is my first post. Its great to be part of this message board.

Prince Philip is a descendant of Queen Victoria through his mother. The Greek royal family of which his father was a member was not actually Greek. Prince Philip is of English/German descent just like his wife.

It would be very nice to see the Anglican Communion come back to the Mother Church. Does anyone know if that's even a possibility? I'm aware the Anglicans need to return to orthodoxy ie no female clergy, traditional family values, prolife issues, etc. Why doesn't the Archbishop utilize his power? Still under the Queens thumb perhaps?

The Archbishop of Canterbury has no power, all he can do is persuade. Plus, the present one was known as a "progressive" before his election and actually agrees with many of the new-age policies promoted north of the Equator (even though he has to pretend as though he is against it, since the majority of Anglicans [e.g. Global South] are opposed). The only way the Anglican Communion (read: not Tradition Anglicans or orthodox Continuum) can return to orthodoxy would be to virtually renounce the past ~100 years of "development" which they will not do, since they have disregarded one of the legs of the footstool - Magisterium - for "reason", and added a fourth wobbly "leg" of indeterminate length they call "experience".
