I'm looking for a high resolution image of Cimabue's crucifixion.

I used to have a great poster of it, but it is out of print, I no longer have the poster, and I'd love to have the image mounted.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The Arezzo Crucifix. Sorry, forgot to include it.

What resolution would you require?

This detail is good: http://www.christusrex.org/www2/art/images/cimabue02.jpg

But the full image the site has does not compare, at http://www.christusrex.org/www2/art/Cimabue.htm . If the editor of that website had access to a larger scan without the fancy shading, that might be something you could have nicely scaled to a poster.

Indeed, the close up is excellent, but the full image - not so much.

Terry, if you get more information about that image, and where I can get a better one, please let me know ASAP.

Nice, but grainy and not very colorful. The image I remember had more color and clarity.

Oh, to afford a new icon of it!

I sure will. It's my favorite. I even had a handcross carved in its likeness for my ordination.

The webmaster of Christus Rex just informed me that they published the highest resolution they have.

A higher resolution is somewhere, for sure.

Bless, Father,

Have you considered getting a professional made photograph of the handcross?

Many years,

Neil

I confess, I've never considered that.

Hmmmmm...
